Why I should be your top choice?

Hello and welcome to Advocacy Partners. Allow me to introduce myself - my name is Kaelynn Wilson and I am hopeful we can be partners for your students future and education.
I am a parent of a special education student. My daughter is 16 and is on the Autism Spectrum while also suffering from mental health issues (anorexia, ARFID, massive anxiety and depression). Yearly I sit at the table as a parent while the educational team discusses my daughters strengths and weaknesses and advocate for her but it is hard and I too sometimes seek out support.
I am also an educator. I have my Masters in Special Education and have taught Pre-School, Kindergarten, 1st grade and high school. I also have a Masters in Teacher Leadership and Educational Leadership. I have taught in public schools as well as private schools and all my various jobs have taught me sometime new about supporting students. I have been a teacher for 7 years, an IEP Facilitator for 2 years and an administrator for 1 year. I also worked as a paraprofessional for 3 years.
I believe in two things: 1. It takes a village and if we don't work as a team our students will not be successful. 2. Everyone is human and we should treat each other as humans before we are students, parents, educators, therapists, etc.
